Spring Begins! And the winners are!

March 21, hello Spring,  please be kind to us, it was a brutal winter! And most important, my first grandchild , Lily Grace, was born this day, 10 years ago!

Today I got a very nice gift from my neighbor.  She was purging dishes and thought I might like these.  You think?  :)

Anyone recognize these markings?  It is a large divided bowl, the divider has a handle.  There is a number too.

I think it will be great for Easter Brunch!

Here's what she said...
Your pretty bowl was made by Utzschneider & Cie in Sarreguemines, France.
The artwork is from a series called Enfants Richard and the wash stands came in a variety of styles.

The wash stands were called Les "Lavabo Bebe" and I can send you some scans of some of the old catalog pages sometime tonight or tomorrow.

    Your pretty bowl was made by Utzschneider & Cie in Sarreguemines, France. I'll do a little research on the decal/decorations and get back to you.

    Depending on the size of the bowl, it might be the bowl from a child's metal wash stand. Can you let me know what the size is?

    Kathleen, I don't know where to begin. I LOVE your hat on the door! It must have enticed your neighbor to come over and give you these treasures. I have a very similar divided dish. I've featured it on my blog before. I knew it was French, but I'm going to have to look into what Candy called a "wash stand". Were they used for washing? The Johnson Bros china is beautiful! I need my neighbors to purge good stuff like this! You must be a better neighbor than I am! Your Spring tablescape looked so fresh and inviting. Thank you for linking to Favorite Things. laurie
