Are you gearing up, or are you a non ♣ celebrator? I won't be paying any attention to the Royal wedding, just not into it! But St. Patrick's Day, oh yes, I am looking forward to it.
We have many parades here on Long Island in the weeks leading up to the big one in NYC on the 17th. I marched in many, including NYC. I remember the blisters from wearing new white bucks required for the band members. Ouch!
On my trip to Christmas Tree Shop last week, there were several ladies trying on things to wear to the parade.
She was such a good sport to let me take her pic with her hat and red braids!
I hope you are going to join in the blog crawl here on Mar. 15th. Anything Irish or green, a poem, a joke, a table, a recipe! Wear comfortable shoes, we will be marching all over blogland! :) There will be a CSN give away, waiting to hear the amount.
And the winner is....6 of these napkins
Memaw :) Susan at Thoughts from over the Rainbow!
Email me your address Susan, and off they go!
Don't be disappointed! Tonight's little give away for followers...
6 paisley yellow and green napkins from WSonoma.
Again just leave a comment saying to put your name in the hat if you are interested!
I am joining Favorite Things at Bargain Hunting with Laurie, and Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper's!

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog. You bet I will be joining your party on March 15...I am waiting patiently...can't wait to see all the green!
ReplyDeleteYes I do like those napkins! I will be joining your party on the 15th and I'm really with you on the wedding. I have jury duty that day (it was postponed but now I can join your party) and I really hope the tv in the jury room is tuned to something else! Ugh!! I was in England the day Prince Harry was born and it was very sweet to hear all the church bells ringing all day, but I'm just not into this at all. Have a nice Sunday! Linda
ReplyDeleteI hope to participate as well!~Ames

ReplyDeleteThose are one of my favorites...no need to put my name in, but thanks anyway...I already have them!
I'm very interested, thank you! As for St. Pat's...I didn't forget about it, I promise. I just don't have decorations for it and really not much happens around my small town. I know that at least one restaurant is having a St. Pat's meal but other than that...no festivities. I did add one small thing to my very small Irish looking collection so I could play along with you again this year!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen I would love to be entered in tonight's raffle! I agree with you about the Royal Wedding :-) I am looking forward to the 15th!!

ReplyDeleteI will be watching the royal wedding. My mom was English and I remember getting up at about 4 AM to watch Charles and Diana get married. Ironically, all these years later, I am married to a man named Charles and my name is Diane.
The difference? We are happily married. I hope for the same for William And Kate.
Congratulations to Susan! Love your bunny all dressed for St. Patty's, and those St. Patrick's napkins with the polka dots are great! Thinking I might need one of those hats with the braids! How fun! Yep! I want my name in the hat, Kathleen. Those napkins match my yellow plates, lol. I am still worried about what to do for your St. Patrick's party. I don't have anything!..Christine
ReplyDeleteYour table is OH SO Pretty! I do love it. We are not Irish but have a big family dinner at my brother and sister in law's home each year. My sil always sets a pretty table and we pretend to be Irish. :) Sounds like you really get into it. Oh, I do LOVE these napkins. Please do enter my name in the drawing. I would love to see a picture of your cranberry toile chair. Have you posted pics of it on your blog? If not, do show us! :)

Ha! That lady WAS a good sport!!! I love it! I was going to chicken out of the St. Patty's Day Blog Crawl because I'm so intimidated by your pretty green-themed tables. My husband told me I need to get out of my comfort zone and participate. I'm still trying to muster up the nerve!

ReplyDeleteOh Kathleen, I love your napkins! They go well with my stuff. Small world!...from Astoria, wow!!! Thank you, I will be at your party the 15th.! Thanks for visiting too.
