I have to do St. Patrick's! There are so few Tablescape Thursdays till the big day! And I have collected a lot of Irish themed things over the years.
My centerpiece is a live Shamrock I was given by my dear friend, Audrey ,two years ago. These plants are funny. Just when you think it is on its last legs and you are thinking about pitching it, it springs to life.
I stuck some live baby breath in to make it a little fuller, and put it in a shamrock basket.
My friend The Tablescaper gave me an early birthday gift Sat. These adorable shamrock plates. Perfect for this table.
I used a white Gibson plate, a shamrock napkin, and a small shamrock bowl.
Quilted shamrock mats over green stripes.
Green bee glasses and white flatware.
Dinner tonight is Potted Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Broccoli.
I used Pioneer Woman's Recipe for the Pork chops.
Good, but my mom's were better! :)
You can find the recipe here.
I promised a little celebratory give away each post up to the 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Blog Crawl here on March 15th.
Tonight .........6 of these pretty yellow and white new napkins from Pottery Barn.
If you win and want more, I believe they are still available.
All followers are eligible, just say you want in on the napkins. That's it!
DRAWING IS NOW CLOSED.
Be sure I have a way to contact you! Some of you have no reply as your email, so please be sure I can follow you back to your blog!
Or come back over the weekend for the next post and little give away. I'll announce the winner then!
I am joining Susan's Tablescape Thursday. Gollum's Foodie Friday, and Pot Luck Friday at Ekat's Kitchen,( Erin is doing a CSN give away, so stop over!) and Suzy's March cookbook challenge at Kitchen Bouquets.
Thanks to the hostesses, and thank you for visiting!

ReplyDeleteKathleen, how do you do it? Just when I think you must be all out of new ways to display The Green, you create another St. Patrick's table. Your new shamrock dessert/salad plates are great. I really like the shamrock bowls. Are those new too???

I see you are getting ready for your Irish Crawl. If I remember it well.. I need to purchase a couple of bottles of Irish Whiskey
and get really really plastered and then blog.
Am I right ? Can you imagine how fun that could be ? Not....

ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen! I am your newest follower, although I thought I already did follow you! You certainly inspired my St.Pattys tablescape this year. I took my inspiration from your last years setting with the coins. ;) I'll be posting it on the 17th. I love your setting for this years table too. Very cute! I would love a chance to win in your giveaway as well! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've been so busy these past few weeks. I'm a girl scout leader and we have been doing cookie sales after cookie sales and it's about all I have time for. But we are coming to an end (thank goodness).
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw you did one of your St. Patrick Day tablescapes I had to stop by to check it out. You do the best St. Patties tables :)
Once again you didn't let me down either. Great job.
Oh and YES I would love to be entered in your giveaway :)
I did pitch my oxalis and now I am sad, Your table is beautiful! Perfect from a girl named Kathleen :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Irish green tablescape. So fun!
ReplyDeleteYou have the best collection of shamrock goodies -- I am supremely jealous. Our stores here have had NOTHING this year. If I have my DR cleared out I will have to join your party with what I have. That's a big if...
ReplyDeleteScribbler (scribbler.ets@mac.com)
I'd love the napkins. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeletelovelydomesticdiva (at) gmail (dot) com

You have me in a St Paddy's mood now! Just wonderful! Those bee glasses are the BEST! Love them!!! Those yellow napkins would be a wonderful prize. I dont have one yellow item in my tablescape treasures. What cute little bowls!
ReplyDeleteSt. Patrick is my homeboy!!! As a product of the Catholic school system from 1st grade through college, I TOTALLY find the humor in that! You've been able to keep that Shamrock plant alive for two whole years???!!??! I commend you! Besides my son, I can't think of anything I've been able to keep alive that long! :-) I'm not Irish, but I will try to put together a table for your party. I'm not sure if I can pull it off. I'll try. Now I'm nervous...! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table. Love the shamrock bowls. Love the yellow summer napkins also.
ReplyDeletemelin54@sbcglobal.net
Being Irish, St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays. I host a dinner every year and am gearing up for this year. I love your table. Such a great collection of fun stuff.

ReplyDeleteI just have to figure out a St. Patrick's Day design for a tablescape...I'm loving your wonderful creation. The birthday plates really are so much fun! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteLove your table Kathleen. I need to gather up my St Pat's tablesetting things.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did. I have been scheming and gathering for St Patty's day also. I just love that holiday. The napkins are so cute! I am counting down the days to the blog crawl!
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely ready for the big day! Can't wait to see what other treats you have for us as the day gets closer.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say I want in on the napkins. You asked about the cushions and pillows in the breakfast nook. No, I did not make them, but I did make the curtains which match. The fabric and the pillows came from Hancock a few years ago. I got the whole bolt of fabric for $5,00 a yard -- my kind of deal. Sadly they don't seem to have anything like this at all anymore.
ReplyDeleteLove the table, very pretty! So nice of the Tablescaper, lovely plates! Looking forward to party with you and your homie :)
ReplyDeleteKathleen, You had me at the Shamrock centerpiece..love that, but then you threw in the food...and I started to salivate! Save me a place at that table...it is just delightful!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, your St. Patrick's Day tablescape is just delightful! I have a shamrock plant I've had for years -- thought I'd lost it a couple of years ago, then after a few months, it popped up again. Mine's not pretty enough for a centerpiece, though! What fun to enjoy your delicious meal at this table!

ReplyDeleteKathleen-I want the napkins--and I wouldn't mind having those great bee glasses either :) I'm just Green with envy!!! :) I would rather be Mrs. Rainbow than Memaw :). I suggested Weezer from Steel Magnolias and they nixed it :) Gotta check out what potted pork chops are! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteDarling table, fit for the Irish in all of us. I am actually a wee bit Irish, mostly English though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, fun to see.

ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
What a perfect table! Certainly puts me in the mood for the big day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift you got from The Tablescaper!
Happy birthday!!
I think I missed this post first go round! Love the Irish homeboy. My mom used to do something like those porkchops but with the onion gravy mix. I don't cook enough porkchops...your birthday mate will eat them but they aren't his faves. Happy to have you join in. I know you have plenty of good recipes already in your head! Which new mags did you get?
