It’s Almost Here! Let’s Dish!

Good evening, Ladies!  Thanks to all those who linked or stopped by to leave a comment on the Copy Cat  Tables.  Mostly everyone followed the rules and posted a picture of their insp from the net, or a magazine, that was the idea.

The winner of the gift card is ROSIE at the Magic Hutch.  Rosie, please contact me with your mailing address.

I didn’t get to do the table  I had planned to show you tonight.  Since Sunday, 3 deaths have taken a piece of my spirit.  A very dear friend, suddenly, another friend after a 6 month illness, and the son of my high school friend, who was in his 40’s of a heart attack. If you are so inclined, please say a prayer for their families. My heart is heavy for their families.

I started with a plaid placemat, topped with a bright red plate.  The mats were from CTS a few years ago, and the plates are from the Pfaltzgraff dollar day sale a few years ago.

A white lacey plate came next, topped with a Santa bowl from WSonoma Outlet a few years ago. My friend Debbie at Mountain Breaths sent me the little MC holder.  Tonight it holds fresh greens.

Black cotton napkin from Lenox, with a pine cone and bell napkin ring from BBB.  The black stems are from Pier One and the flatware is also from BBB, in the clearance and then a 20% off coupon.

The little white butter domes are from CTS, and the shakers are Pfaltzgraff.

I bought a bunch of these little red plaid baking dishes to fill with cookies and give as gifts.  They were 1.00 in CTS, then 20% off.

My centerpiece is a large hurricane surrounded by a faux wreath, sitting on a large round scalloped platter. This is on my table for the season and is easily removed because of the platter underneath.  It looks like a bed of snow! Smile If I get the finishing touches on, I will show you.

I attached mini bottle brush trees to the wreath.  I hope to get some little houses in there, but like I said, this has been some week.

Christmas Table Challenge~Year Two

Hello, Ladies!  Tonight the challenge was to find a TABLE on the net, and copy it .

I tried to find one where I wouldn’t have to BUY a thing, and I did!

PLEASE BE SURE TO POST THE ORIGINAL PICTURE OF THE TABLE FIRST AND THE SOURCE.

We have had rainy weather the last few days, a Nor’Easter with 50mph winds.  I wondered if I would have power.  Thank God the temps were in the 40’s so it didn’t turn to snow!

It is still dreary, so these pics were taken without sun.  I don’t edit my pics, they are what they are!
I chose a very simple table done by the very talented Anita at FAR ABOVE RUBIES.

She used Italian Countryside, I used Gibson from BBB many years ago.

She used a lovely wooden box filled with greens, I used a clementine crate!

The flatware is Calypso by Towle, from Christmas Tree Shop a few years ago.  I believe it was 17.99 less my coupon.

IMG_0035

The napkin rings were a gift from Alma, The Tablescaper.  I like the texture like the lines in the plates.

IMG_0039IMG_0038

The greens are from the yard, and the chargers are from Pfaltzgraff a few years ago for 2.00

My table is round so I usually don’t use runners on it.  Instead I used thick cotton rug mats from Kohls.  Nice and cozy!

I hope Anita will approve of my interpretation!

Copycat Christmas Table Challenge on Wed. Dec 12th

Hello everyone, hope you are making progress in your holiday preparations.

Just wanted to remind you of the challenge Wed.

I have been searching the net for a table to copy.  I think I found one, and it is a rather simple one!

Last year I did this one for the challenge.

The inspiration pic was from the WSonoma Catalog.

I can’t wait to see what my small band of merry women come up with for the challenge!

Bundts Galore! National Bundt Day Challenge

Good evening, Ladies!  Nov. 15th is National Bundt Day, and tonight I challenge you to show us your Bundt Pans, and a Bundt cake, IN a dessert table setting.

Easy, right?  A Bundt cake, plates, napkins, etc
IMG_9960
Alma gave me the pretty cotton cloth, and tipped me off that CTS had the cotton napkins with the stripe for .34!  I got enough to use for the Pilgrims AND the Native Americans!
New members of my Bundt family are…
Nordic Ware Stained Glass Bundt® Cake Pan
The Stained Glass

And the Mini Heritage…
Nordic Ware Mini Heritage Bundt® Cake Pan
I found many of mine at the WSonoma Outlet, and less than 20.00 with a coupon.  Look around on the internet, there are bargains to be found.  If that fails, ask Santa!  They last forever and can be passed down.  I still have my mom’s original Bundt pan.

Irish Soda Bread made in the Heritage Pan.  That will make the Irish Eyes smile!

My favorite is the Heritage, and the mini is great too!

I make my stuffing in a Bundt pan, and serve it on a cake plate.  Just slice and pour on your gravy!
