Hello, October!

It has been so long since I did a post, I didn’t know if I remembered how!
Hope all of you have been well and are ready for the Fall.  I see some of you on FB and read a few blog posts now and then, but I have really fallen off the wagon!
I note with sadness the passing of Susan Harris from Thoughts from Over the Rainbow.

She hadn’t blogged for awhile, but I know some of you were friends on Facebook.  Susan was an upbeat talented gal with young grandchildren that she adored.  Susan was 60, and was taken way too soon.  Sadly her dear husband passed away a month later. Please say a prayer for her family. May they rest in peace.

Also, my sympathy to the family of  Pat from Back Porch Musings.  They will be missed!
Until next time, be well!  Lots of changes going on here, more about that next time.  Miss you all!

  2. Hi Kathleen, happy to see a post. I also fell off the wagon and I think it rolled over my head! Sad to hear about this couple, I did not know Susan. I did know Pat, such a lovely, gracious lady. I was a bit shocked to hear about her passing. I know her husband had a few medical issues. Hope you are doing well.

  3. It's good to hear from you, Kathleen. I've been busy with the new house and our daughter's wedding plans so have been MIA as well. I'm sorry to hear about Susan. I visited her blog several times. I was quite shocked to hear about Pat. She often spoke of Jim's various illnesses but I was so surprised when I heard about her diagnosises. I had the happy occasion of meeting her one day at our local Walmart. We lived in the same town before her recent moved. She was as gracious and down to earth In person as she was online and will be greatly missed. I lift her family in prayer often. I'm hoping you're well and are enjoying Fall.

  4. How sad to read this. I knew Pat, but not Susan (and her husband). Thank you for acknowledging these folks. It's such a thoughtful way to pay tribute. I hope this finds you well.

  9. Thank you, Kathleen, for bringing this news to our attention. So many times, we enjoy stopping by blogs and never ever consider that at some time these loving, talented people may no longer be sharing their voice and inspiration. I send wishes of comfort to the families at this extremely difficult time. Take care of yourself, and we know we all look forward to seeing your name pop up in our mailboxes. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  11. I've been out of the blogging loop for a year, give or take the stray post and FF, and I am so happy to see your post and the lovely family portrait. I have missed dishing with you. That said, I am numb to hear about Susan; and I did not know about Pat. I rarely go by FB or Twitter. Sad and stunned to hear this news. Thank you for letting us know!

  17. Hi Kathleen..good to see you posting again. Such sad news about Susan and her Husband...My Prayers are with their Family. I did follow Pat, such a gracious lady, and was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. I knew her husband had health issues, and that she went through an emergency surgery, but didn't realize the severity. My Prayers are with her Family as well.

  19. Hi Kathleen, I was thinking of you today, as I was cleaning out my buffet/hutch. I saw the gorgeous napkin holders I won from you as a giveaway. I miss you, and I have fallen on and off the wagon so many times as a blogger. I hope you are well. Sometimes we forget that there are real people behind the blogs we read. Prayers to the family.
