I set the table outside, but the wind was trying to take everything away! And then the light was gone, so dark pics, sorry!

Quilted flag mats and star napkins from Kohl's a few years ago.

A blue vase with white hydrangea as the simple centerpiece.

Blue star plates are Pfaltzgraf, smaller white stars are Pottery Barn.

Red star cookie cutters surround the flowers. from Pottery Barn.

Knot napkin rings are from CTree Shops, as is the red flatware.

Blue stems are from Dansk.

Red, white and blue fruit, with a dollop of sweetened sour cream, or you can use vanilla yogurt to top the watermelon and blueberries.

I drizzle the fruit salad with frozen lemonade concentrate or limeade, or both.  It is delicious!  Served in a blue cocktail glass from the so very chic, le Dollar Tree.

July 4th postcardHope you all have a wonderful 4th!

God Bless  America!

  15. Hi Kathleen, A star table! I like those cute place mats too, and the star cookie cutters standing around the centerpiece. So you just let the concentrate come to room temp and pour it on? Sounds easy and delicious! Linda

Those placemats are delightful & I appreciate your telling us about putting limeade or lemonade on our fruit. I can't wait to try it!

I snagged 8 of the blue goblets from DT last week but now you're making me want to run back for 8 of the cocktail glasses, too. GREAT presentation! I'm running out of room to store these things!!! Yikes!

    Hugs & Happy 4th, Honey!

  33. Dearest Kathleen,

Your patriotic table is charming and would be so in any lighting situation. I re-read your poem today when I was checking that my links still work in the re-run I posted. Your whimsy and breezy writing style made me smile all over again. Thank you for sharing your time, taste level, and unique talents.

    Fondly,
    Bill
