It was a beauty! Not too hot, just right.
A little hazy at the ocean...
But then it cleared up. The first ice cream pop of summer, before it hits the sand!
My gkids love to wait for 5 pm when the lifeguards leave, so they can jump off the lifeguard chair.
A beautiful way to spend the first Sunday of summer!
I am joining The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday.
Thanks for visiting, hope you wore your sunscreen! :)
Your photos are great!!

ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen! It was a glorious day here in CT--finally!! We have had so much rain that part of our hill in front has washed down the driveway. I'm glad you had a chance to see your gkids at the beach. Linda
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day K! Is that you in the ice cream pic catching a few rays in your bikini??? If so, I hope YOU are wearing your sunscreen:@)

We spent a good part of Saturday afternoon and evening by the water too! Summer on LI means beach days! And I love the photos! Is that a tablecloth I see at the beach? Only my friend Kathleen could pull it off!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the trip to the beach, Kathleen! I won't get to go until November! Happy week!...hugs...Debbie

ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
I can practically hear the ocean waves hitting the sand in your pretty photos, Kathleen! Is that one of your grandsons? He is so cute with all those black curls :)
ReplyDeleteI would need a whole bottle of sunscreen as I freckle terribly in the sun.
It looked like you had a wonderful weekend!
I am so enjoying your beach pics. I think we both had the same schedule for early summer. I'm visiting over from SS. Hope your holiday weekend is great.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth.

Great balls of fire, woman...you, in a bikini...and on your blog...!! I am sooo impressed. :)))))))
ReplyDeleteFinally a beautiful sunny day! Looks great at the beach. You even have a tablescape at the beach? Sytrofoam and tablecloths :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day! And now, I have the song "lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer" stuck in my head.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the beach and especially hazy breezy days at the beach!
ReplyDeleteDoes this look like Paradise or what?! It is so hot here already I just about faint when I walk out the door. I caught up with your last couple of posts, and really enjoyed reading the advice to the younger generation again. I wish somebody had said all those things to me when I was 20!
ReplyDeleteI love your watermelon table -- my father was quite the connoisseur of watermelon, and he even grew them many summers in the garden. Every time I see them I remember him.
Your porch always looks so inviting.
Now that's a great picture of summer for sure! Water, sunshine, sand, and a cold treat! Beautiful...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to make memories. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHope that you have an amazing summer. The beach has to be one of the best things about your home turf. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeletePlan B would have been to seat them inside. It can be done, but it would greatly diminish space for 'just visiting' before and after lunch. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteHooray for summer. Send some our way please. We get one nice day then 4 or 5 ugly ones.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking sand castles too.
This is my kind of summer living!
ReplyDeleteOk, I had to go back and check for you in a bikini since several people mentioned it! It took me a minute to spot it. Looking great! Enjoy the warmth of the sun on your skin! I think it is one of life's great luxuries.
What great beach photos. Looks like the east coast. Yea, summer is here.
ReplyDeleteSam
*big sigh* I miss the beach in FL sometimes, but more so after seeing your beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling me about the hydrangeas. I know EXACTLY where I want to plant them & it works with your advice!!!
You are living in Paradise; enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer.
Rita
Enjoy every minute of summer! Did you hand Mike the camera to get that photo of you in your bikini?
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Loving those little ones and enjoying the beach! :)
ReplyDeleteHI Kathleen, we just got back from the beach so these pics look familiar!!! XO,Pinky
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteI want to be there right now, you sure live in a gorgeous place!
Hugs,
Cindy
We've finally had some beautiful days here lately too. So many days this month the wind has been east and off Lake Michigan so lots of fog and dampness in the air.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine how much fun it is to jump off the life guard stands into the sand. Your gkids are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to spend a summer day.
What wonderful photos and a great way to start your summer. Enjoy!~
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are really enjoying the summer over there. I've just come back from a week at the beach but we didn't go swimming as it was cold and rainy for much of the time. I'm looking forward to summer after seeing this post!
ReplyDeleteHope you have been well. Take care and enjoy your July 4th celebrations!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Fun times Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when we saw the season premier of Royal Pains last night. I told J, that is where Kathleen lives.:-)
