Have lunch!

Bargains 525

Some sunny yellow St. John's Wort in a square vase with lemon slices  serve as the centerpiece.

Bargains 534

The square vase originally held a candle. After it was used up, I cleaned it to use as a vase.  I put a small glass in to hold the flowers.

Faux mini lemon scatters.

Bargains 529

Yellow and white flatware from WSonoma Outlet or PB, I forget.  Under 4 dollars on sale for the 12 piece set.

Yellow placemat. Topper is a pillow sham.

Bargains 530

I set a place for Rett , from The Gazebo House , who has been missing in action due to some health issues.  I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her, and hope she feels better soon.

Bargains 526

Lemon glasses from $ Tree, and 35 year old dishes .  We had them for our summer cottage, and they have served us well!  Corelle, nice and thin so you can stack them high in those cottage cabinets!

Napkins from Pottery Barn, on sale of course.

This is definitely a Thrifty Table.  The yellow pitcher was my mom's.  Her whole kitchen was yellow.Bargains 532  Bargains 528

Hope you'll sit down and have a cool glass of lemonade!

table 500

Some lemon tarts would be good!  Shortbread dough filled with lemon curd.

Here I pressed it into a ceramic Chinese spoon and baked it, then filled it with lemon curd.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I am joining BNOTP for Tablescape Thursday, Gollum for Foodie Friday and Diann for Thrifty Things Friday.  Thanks, Ladies!

  11. Another advocate of citrus anything.

It's good to see all these wonderful golden photos! My computer's been on suicide watch for a few weeks, so your Pillsbury photos didn't load for me this morning.
Everything's working now, however, and for the moment, I'm grateful.

  32. I always buy a big bag of lemons when I go to Costco and I never use them all up but it is still cheaper than buying less at the regular grocery store.
Now I have some more ideas to use them up. Lemons make my mouth water.

  35. I'm crazy about your yellow table. I'm so accustomed to seeing yellow as a companion color to others that it's easy to forget how wonderful and happy it is when it's the star of the show.

I had been missing posts from the Gazebo House. I'm sorry to read that it's due to health issues.

Thoroughly lovely, as I have come to expect from you.

  37. Awwww, I'm so honored to have a special place at this deliciously delightful table! Thanks, Kathleen, for making me a space. You KNOW how much I ♥♥♥ lemon!!
Such lovely pieces you've found & adding your Mom's vintage pitcher makes it all the more special, too.
I'm impressed with your creative Chinese spoon tart form. I never would have thought of doing that & it is really the perfect delivery system.

I'm doing MUCH better the past few days & even made a post to go up soon. I just have to finish typing the words to go with the photos. Short little sessions on the puter these days seem to work best for me.

Thanks again, so very much for including me in your pretty summertime table. I'm truly honored!

    Hugs,

  44. I like! My daughter has a yellow and blue kitchen. We used lemon decor for her wedding and she now uses it in her kitchen. I bought her those same lemon glasses. Love the pitcher that was your mothers. Using a pillow sham, very clever! I have 2 bottles of lemon curd in my pantry. I hadn't thought to put it in a shortbread dough. Good idea. I'm going to make some, maybe for Father's Day.

And I've always loved that flatware, just wish I could have gotten some too! LOL! Seriously though, Kathleen, this table is fabulous.

  54. Laughing at your idea of exercising our teeth "muscles" by eating more! ;-)
I actually lost 10# because I COULDN'T eat without pain. I do NOT recommend this diet method.

Never got to tell you how much I liked your pretty floral nosegay for your granddaughter & also how pretty your latest header looks.

Its SO good to be back, visiting!

  55. LOVE, LOVE LOVE your yellow table. There is absolutely nothing in the world more cheerful.

I actually did consider some sheers -- I have about a dozen of them packed away somewhere in the attic! I have settled on bamboo shades but I don't want to install them till I paint. I am not the neatest painter and I didn't want to get paint spatters on them.

I don't know what to do about my knees!
