I love Christmas too, and try to set different tables during the season..
When it is just the 2 of us..not so elaborate..but still I like to use my Christmas things...
In this table I used a dark green tablecloth, matching napkin, silver charger, silver rimmed dinner, Christmas Rhythm Salad from Noritake, a wreath with greens around a hurricane for the centerpiece.
The napkin rings are silk poinsettias from Villeroy And Boch..bought during the summer, so a great deal.
The stems my mom gave me when I was getting married, very thin and rimmed in silver.
Little silver handled butter dish..
Faux burlapped Christmas trees, and my everyday flatware by Dansk...
For the Cuisine part...
Some Butter Spritz cookies served on a little red ruffled dish I found in the clearance at TJMAXX..Have 2, they are small...
Hope you enjoyed this Yuletide table...Another one next Sat.
Thanks for coming..

Merry Christmas in July! Your table looks so pretty! Your table looks so elegant. That stemware is gorgeous! Thanks for the blog plug! laurie
ReplyDeleteKathleen, your table is just gorgeous. I LOVE all of your beautiful dishes and stems. They are just stunning. The wreath and the small tree are just the perfect touches. Your cookies look sooooooo good. I'm sure I would have to have at least 2. Great tablescape and beautifully done. Hugs,Marty
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone can do a holiday table as good as you Kathleen. I think you could write a book on just Christmas tablescapes alone! Lovely flashback :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern on the dinner plate.. that is gorgis! I have the same ruffle dishes from TJMAXX in white.. love your red!

Beautiful! The green cloth and napkins are so rich looking! The red poinsettia napkin rings are perfect for the china!
ReplyDeleteLove it all!

Lovely table! There is so much less stress doing it in July! The cookies look wonderful, complete with packages!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - even though I don't want to think about Christms!! lol
ReplyDeleteAll your tablescapes are exquisite, you have a great talent!!
The little spritz are too cute...
I love the cookie photo the best. You know me and flour:) I do not even want to think of Christmas. I try to shop well before Thanksgiving so that I have lots of time to bake the rest of my gifts. We alternate holiday with the kids and their in-laws so this year we are on our own so we will probably travel or stay home and indulge in cookies:)

Oh my goodness, Christmas! It will be here before we know it. I've already started making my little homemade gifts for baskets.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tablescape, Kathleen. I love the red and green all year round.
It's scary to think how quickly it will arrive now that the year is almost half over! Your table settings are always a treat to see, Kathleen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog! You have a great eye...your setting is gorgeous! And the treats are making me hungry! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAlways a gorgeous table, Kathleen! Are there presents for Christmas in July?
ReplyDeleteI could eat that whole plate of spritz cookies...I adore those and I'm an idiot where a cookie press is involved....I can't work one of those things if my life depended upon it....I saw where the Christmas in July was taking place and I just cooudn't get myself to unpack all my Christmas dishes and glasses for the event....So I can just enjoy everyone elses......Sue
ReplyDeleteI am soooo jealous of all the pretty seashell dishes out there. Your header is fabulous. I can't even think about Christmas decor right now...didn't I just get it put away??
ReplyDeleteKathleen, no one does a tablescape better than you ... especially a Christmas one. I remember these pictures and they're just as wonderful the second time around.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to next Saturday's post. Those spritz cookies REALLY look good right now. I seem to make them only at Christmas.
Very pretty table, Kathleen! Those poinsettia napkin rings are a wonderful compliment to your dishes. Always love a pillar candle in a hurricane shade too, so cozy looking.

Everything is so lovely Kathleen.
ReplyDeleteI love how you add little 'tid bits' of info on your tablesetting.
I feel as though I'm taking a tour as I look!!
The rich, dark green sets off everything beautifully. I love dishes and the silk poinsettias.
I've got poinsetta napkin ring envy. They'd be great with the dishes I showed today. It looks great and I love your touches of silver and the little s&p shaker.
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is lovely! I am trying to get ideas for my Christmas tablescape this year since I am home sick today. I just got some Spode Christmas tree plates and I am looking forward to using them! Well, I just got them for Christmas last year!
