Outdoor Wednesday~The Garden Party is coming!

It was a beautiful Outdoor Wednesday today! A perfect 10!
And I am thinking Garden Party..Susan at Savoring Time in the Kitchen is having her first event this weekend.
Do join in, your garden, a recipe featuring produce, fruit, etc, a table, anything GARDEN related...the more the merrier, we have such a short time to enjoy our gardens..( or at least those of us in the cold climates do)

I tried out the tablecloths I will use...

I like this one, it has pink, blues, violets, yellow, green and white..a garden variety of colors!

I got them a few years ago from a Party rental company that was selling off their surplus..

They are 120 in round, hard to find, and I like that they go to the floor...

I hope you will come back for the Garden Party this weekend!
I hope the weather is as beautiful as it was today!

These are some of the hydrangeas I made from cuttings or rock rooting.
I amazed that even the smallest ones have a flower!
I use an area along the back of the yard to grow them, then I move them when they mature..

Mike even Kryloned his cooler so your beverage will be kept in a freshly painted cooler! I wish I had a "before" to show you! And don't worry, I won't make you drink from the can!

Please join Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for more Outdoor Wednesday entries..
And do come back for the party!

  1. Oh what pretty tablecloths!!
Lucky you to be able to get a size, that goes down to the floor. That look is always so elegant on a round table.
You ALWAYS seem to be at the Right Place at the Right Time.
Can't wait to see your 'Garden Party'...
Oh!!..I envy your hydrangeas.(my second favorite flower, to the rose). Yours are so beautiful.

  3. It is nice to hear your musings about the garden party and give us a peek at your tablecloths. So pretty...just perfect for the party! Unfortunatly, I didn't hear about the party until now and I am so not prepared!! But I will have a great time visiting the participants and getting outdoor entertaining ideas!! :-)

Love your hydrangeas!! They are very popular, aren't they. I like that you make cuttings...that is a big savings!

Good luck with the party planning!!

  5. Kathleen, when I think of hydrangeas, I think of you. How many are you up to now? I'll be visiting your garden party, and participating also :-) Mike did a great job on the cooler! I love those tablecloths in the hard to find size. The weather was just so perfect today, and hope it continues for the garden party.

  6. Oh Kathleen the tablecloths are so beautiful, and I love the hydrangeas. Are you going to clip some and have arrangements on your tables, or maybe an arrangement on your guest board. I made a padded board with the ribbons crossing (you know to hold cards), and set it on an entry table on an easel, and then left colorful little cards on the table and asked each guest to post a message. I save the messages and that way I put them in my scrap book and you just have the most wonderful memories of the party. If you made a large board you could have it on a standing easel. They are just so grand with the board on it. I don't know how many table cloths you have, but you could use some fabric from 1 of them for your board and everything would match.
Ooh I love parties, I can't wait to see your post of everything. I am a follower, so please stop by and let me know when you post them so I can pop over and see. Have a wonderful time, and please stop by and say hi. Country Hugs, Sherry

  7. Kathleen, I knew you would have an elegant garden party setting and it looks like you have a headstart with those beautiful tablecloths. I always think of you too when I see blue hydrangeas and I had forgotten your tip on rock rooting so I was thankful you mentioned it to remind me. I must try that this summer - I think there is still time.

  13. Beautiful choice for the tablecloth ... And I would have never thought of using a long one outside. I love the idea; it will hide the ugly base of our table.

Kathleen, I never tire of seeing your hydrangeas. I anxiously await reading your Garden Party post this weekend.
