We Never Know

Hello, I know I haven’t published since March.  I wanted to write before my blog disappears like The Tablescaper’s did!
I maintain a blog for my community and while I was busy running to the hospital, I must have missed the notice that I needed to pay my yearly fee.  I paid Go Daddy for the domain name, but apparently blogger is different, and I don’t know how to get it back.  Anyone know?
I want to thank those who saw my sad news on Facebook and left condolences.  My dear husband of over 40 years passed away suddenly on May 25.IMG_0209  He was doing well, driving himself to PT, and looking forward to spending time with the grandkids this summer.  Although the doctors told us he was doing fine, he had a heart attack and died.
It all seems like a bad dream.  I didn’t get to say good bye, and that really bothers me.  Thank you to those who wrote and sent cards.  I was deeply touched by your kindness!

Please keep us in your prayers.
My deepest sympathy to BJ on the loss of her dear husband, I am so glad she lives with her family.  They will be a comfort to her!  She is in my prayers.
Thank you for visiting.  Maybe I will blog again, you never know!
All the best,
Kathleen

  2. Oh Kathleen, I was just stunned when I saw this post. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I knew your husband had been sick last year and that you had been driving a long ways back and forth to the hospital every day. I just assumed he was better and that you were just busy enjoying family. My heart just breaks for you. Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.

Take care of yourself and let me know by e-mail if I can do anything at all. I hope we'll see you back on the blog if you should feel up to it one of these days.

    Love and hugs,

  3. I know Mike's health had been a major concern to you the last few years, but I thought he was doing okay. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this most difficult time, Kathleen.

There's one more star up in the sky tonight.
Even though it is far away,
    its brightness and warmth
    still reach us here
to make the night a little less dark.

not able to say goodbye to your love. Many blessings to you and healing thoughts.

As for the Blogger issue, your domain name is with Godaddy and as long as that is paid, your blog will show. There is no yearly fee for Blogger...Free. Your blog appears fine.

  16. Dear Kathleen, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. {{Hugs}}

I've also been 'tapped' to maintain websites for several groups to which I belong. Adding to that, Picasa (my go-to photo editing program) has been retired and learning a new one is time consuming. I haven't done much blogging lately either. Life changes take us in different directions. I'm not giving it up completely and I hope you don't either. It's just nice to keep in virtual touch with those we've meet over the years. Take care of yourself and hope to hear from you again soon. Tell Alma we miss her, too. Zenda

  24. What a handsome guy your Mike was & what a BEAUTIFUL bride you were!! Loved seeing this photo of happier times.
I know how hard it is for you right now, especially since you weren't prepared for his passing. Just know that you are in my prayers & I promise you it will get easier. It will never be the same, for sure, but the heartache & tears will change into a feeling of gratitude that he is now in a MUCH better place, safe in the arms of our Lord. No more worrying about him. Mega {{{HUGS}}}, Hon!! Take care of yourself.

  39. You've crossed my mind several times this week & that's usually my ESP telling me I need to connect. I know the one year anniversary of Mike's passing is coming up. Such a difficult time to get through. I will say I felt a strange sense of relief to have survived all the special days with my Ern that first year. I hope you, too, find Peace in the passing of this milestone. ((HUGS)) long distance
