Hard to believe it is so close to Easter! I barely have the St. Pat's put away, and the Bunnies are starting to hop out of the bin.
Their cousins, the DUST bunnies , stay out all year!
If your read the The Tablescaper's Seasonal Sunday post, you know we went shopping yesterday.
I have nothing left to show, she showed everything! :)
No, I do! But I won't, as I haven't photographed it yet.
But I did get some very pretty Hutschenreuther dishes.
I don't know Hutchenreuther from Hasenpfeffer, but it was pretty, and I was considering
it , as it was a good price.
When the clerk came over and said it was, buy one get one free, SOLD!
I am talking GOOD prices!
Now I don't buy 12 like my friend Alma and Cherry Kay, but I took what they had!
I'll show you Wed for Let's Dish! Thanks so much to all of you who came over and linked or commented Wed night for the first meeting!
So from lovely china, to cheap plastic at the Dollar store! I am working on a table using that tray as the charger, and adding some colorful plates.
We'll see how it turns out!
Here is a colorful table from a few years ago that not too many people saw. Lots of pastels mixed together. It was from the time before I started collecting colored flatware. :)
Hop to it! Easter is soon!
Directions for this HERE.
I am joining:
The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sunday
Marty for Tabletop Tuesday
Anita for Cowgirl Up Tuesday
Shannon for Cozy Home Scenes Party
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Please come back Wednesday night at 7 PM and link up your dish related posts at Let's Dish!
Last week Karen at Briarside Lane showed us part of her candlewick collection and explained the difference between that and Boopie! All of which I have only learned since blogging!
We aim to educate as well as play with our dishes! :)
You scored some beautiful things while shopping. I want to check out that store Peter Andrews. xo
ReplyDeleteOh-What cute plates you found...and I LOVE that older setting you did. It is just so fresh and whimsical looking. I love it! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLove all the pastel colors. Hope my bunnies hop out of the attic tomorrow. Wish I could have been with you two shopping.
ReplyDelete<;)Cathy
Wish I had a shopping buddy, as much fun as you. Cannot wait to see what you brought home!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen - I love the egg platter/charger idea. So cute! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI want the recipe for your chocolate eggs...they look delicious. Dust bunnies around here are about to become members of the family and get named if I don't drag out the vacuum soon!
ReplyDeleteI really like your centerpiece on the header picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Monica! It is Villeroy and Boch. I got it way after the season in the clearance when they had a small outlet here. My friend gave me the smaller version too.
DeleteSo cheery and lovely...nice pastels~ Really like the terra cotta display plate! We have wood floors throughout the house so dust bunnies are constant companions! lol
ReplyDeleteVery cute table, love all of the happy colors! And... I'll have a cupcake please. Happy Sunday:@)
ReplyDeleteYou always find such nice things :) Table is pretty and festive! Love the little cakes!
ReplyDeleteI left you plenty! You were the one with the haul on the Hutschenreuther dishes! Can't wait to see what you do with those chargers (still can't believe we bought the same ones - NOT together). The green in them is a bit of a challenge.
ReplyDeleteHad so much fun! So are we going to do it again (and longer) for my birthday???
- The Tablescaper
When is her birthday???? I wanna come, too!!!!
DeleteMay! Bring your big pocketbook!
Delete"Their cousins, the DUST bunnies , stay out all year!" Mine, too! I have the best collections going under all the furniture! LOL
ReplyDeleteVery cute egg place, St. Kathleen. I'm still dragging down the green stuff & bringing up the Easter. Its good exercise, I think.
Have a nice Sunday at your house. My DD's family/g'kidlets got home safely from Spring break, so I'm happy to have them back NEAR the nest, if not exactly in it. I worry when they're away & on the road. I missed them, too!
Hugs,
Rett
that is suppose to say "cute egg PLATES" Sheesh, I need another cuppa tea to wake up.
DeleteLovely pastels. You have access to the best stores!
ReplyDeleteI got a real chuckle out of the "DUST bunnies" that stay out all year!:-) We seem to keep plenty of those, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely table, Kathleen
Hi Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteYour table looks so springy and fun. I hope you are well.
Hi, Kathleen! Thanks for the heads up on the flower pot cake stand--what a cute idea! You're right; I certainly could have used it for the baby shower! You're making me love polka dots--I always liked them, but when I see your tables with them I'm liking them even more! :) Love your header too. ~Zuni
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do with your new HAUL!!! Love the look at the past table: I have those same bunny placecard holders:):) XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteDo you know what I like about you. You are REAL. And that is a true compliment. Love your mixing the 'plastic' with the real china. There are alot of gals who cannot afford to go on fun buying sprees and find all these great bargains like we do. So I think using a mix is really a good thing. Love your blog Kathleen and you snd The Tablescaper (and alot of other fun dish bloggers,) I consider 'dish partners in crime.' (big smile)
ReplyDeleteWhen my neighbor and I go shopping that's what my husband calls us 'partners in crime.' And when it comes to spending we really are. (chuckle)
Hugs,
Nann
Nann, I can't afford it either! I was using my birthday loot, and the Hutschenreuther was DoLLAR store prices.
DeleteI squeeze a dollar till it yells for mercy!
I'm guessing you bought a whole lot more than what you're letting on! You and Alma are like gasoline and a Bic lighter when you get together to shop! :-) I can't believe Easter is but a stone's throw away! I've gotta get crackin'! Last week's "Let's Dish!" was a lot of fun. I'll be joining you again this week. There were some really cool posts on there!
ReplyDeleteA cheery spring Easter look!
ReplyDeleteYou are a good shopper just like my sister! You cracked me up when you said the tablescape was from the time before you started collecting colored flatware. I haven't started collecting colored flatware "yet", but I certainly collect polka dots! I could sink my teeth into one of your beautiful eggs!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see -- gosh I can't believe how soon Easter will be here.
ReplyDeleteI love Mrs. Bunny!!! I'm so not ready for Easter but I love looking at everyone's decorations and table settings. It's really fun to shop along with you and The Tablescaper too!
ReplyDeleteI love the fun, springy colors! You make me want to go out and buy some Easter dishes...so pretty!
ReplyDelete-Shelley
Your bunny is pretty cute! Love the polka dots and spring colors, Kathleen. Looking forward to seeing you new dishes. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on Sweetwater Style's Easter decor...I am not hosting this year either (or at least I don't think I am....but sometimes it ends up here at the last minute...go figure!) I can't wait for your party on Wed...my latest post is all about Fitz and Floyd! Talk soon!
ReplyDeleteNow you have me anxious to get back to my kitchen to get ready for Easter! your header is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRita
I saw Alma's post - what great buys the two of you found! I've started thinking about my Easter menu since it will be here once again this year. Don't have any decorations out yet - I do need to hop to it!
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is a simphony of SPRING Kathleen, just perfect ofr Easter too.I'm loving your header, it's lovely. Can't wait til Wedne4sday's party! Have a terrific week.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
I can't wait to see your tablescape using those egg-shaped trays as chargers! That is so creative. I also liked those carrot napkin rings that you showed in the tablescape that you had done previously. I plan to do a tablescape, but I haven't gotten too far along in the planning!
ReplyDeleteYou always have the cutest dishes, Kathleen! I have so little out for Easter this year as I'm going out for a potluck. But I'll be back to check on your table.
ReplyDeleteSo very cute! I'm sure a shopping trip with y'all would be a blast!
ReplyDeleteI so look forward to see all the "loot" you two come up with...As I stated before, I wish I was a fly on the wall to see you two in action!!..I am sure there is enough material for a movie!!...Your table is marvelous as always...always love how you mix things up so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThe set ups are amazing- absolutely beautiful!!!
