It has been a busy week. As I mentioned, my sister and her husband were here from TX for my oldest sister’s 50th anniversary party.
The first night they arrived I made Colossal Shrimp, (an oxymoron :) ).They were excellent , under 15, plump and juicy! I made them in a wine sauce over linguine and snow peas… Fresh 7 grain bread and butter.
Here is the table…
Simple spooner filled with fresh flowers…
The “napkins” are Waverly dishtowels…really pretty ones!
Red chargers from PBarn, plates from TJMaxx, flatware by Cambridge, glasses from Dansk. White cloth I’ve had, indiv butters from WSonoma.
For Foodie Friday, just the everyday dishes…so not a tablescape, a food scape! :)
Mon. night for dinner we had a big salad, bow tie pasta with roasted chicken and snow peas, and fresh pineapple.
The plates are Fiance Fruit by Dansk.
I am joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
And ML at Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday.
And of course my friend, Suzy, at Kitchen Bouquet for Flashback Friday.
Please visit them for some more tables and food! :)
Coming up…
Laurie at Bargain Hunting with Laurie’s Favorite Things Sat.
The Tablescaper’s Summer Sundays…Sunday of course!
Thanks for visiting!

ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful tables. Just because the second has your everday set, doesn't make it wonderful and the food just adds to it.
ReplyDeleteNow you're making me wish I had gotten those tea towels in the Waverly too. Oh well, we can't buy everything, can we?
So happy you'll be with us again for "Summer Sundays".

It's always nice when family visits from out of town. They feel so welcomed when treated to a home cooked meal. I'll bet your sister felt special. The design in the center of your tablecloth is a good companion to the design in your red and white plates. Your presentation makes the food look so delectable - yum.
