And I wait anxiously for a sunny day to do lunch and a little sight seeing on the North Fork. There are several one room schoolhouses that dot the little towns there..this one is in New Suffolk...

And we will get sun, and warmer weather..patience..

Do you have left over burritos, soft tacos, tortillas, whatevers! from Cinco de Mayo???...

Make pizza..brush 2 lightly with olive oil, stack them spread with sauce, mozzarella, or whatever topping you like, and bake.. Burizzas, Tortizzas, you name it, but quick, easy and thrifty...and tasty!

  1. Some parts of the country have had way too much rain and we are in such a drought. How I wish it would rain here. Your flowers will love all this wonderful rain and everything will be so green. Love the idea of the torilla pizzas, what a great suggestion. I will definitely try this. Hugs, Marty

  2. We had a very small shower at dinner time tonight followed by the prettiest rainbow. But you can send a little bit of that rain our way, we could use it. Just do it before the weekend, okay? ~ Robyn

  3. Hi Kathleen,
It is hard to enjoy spring flowers when it rains so much, but just think when it quits what joy will be there for you to see, great idea for tortilla pizza, thank you for sharing.

  5. Kathleen, all that rain certainly has "greened" things up, but hard to get outside and enjoy it all. I love your lilies.

Rain, rain, go away ... Kathleen wants to play.

  6. Kathleen, I know how you feel with all the rain. Way above average here for the month of April. Everything will look so pretty and healthy though when it dries up. Clever tortilla idea!

  7. We haven't been getting enough rain, but skies have been gray far too long, rendering my mood, at this point, as murderous.

But, at least it rained just enough to turn everything green again.

Btw, your beautiful lilies are little rays of sunshine; I'm eagerly awaiting for mine to come up.

  10. Your lilies are just beautiful! Does your granddaughter enjoy them too? Great idea using the tortillas for pizza shells. Have you ever tried grilling them?
