Tuesday's Table......
Another winter day, cold , a dusting of snow, and ice all over...
My table this week is my every day kitchen dishes.
For several years , we had a wonderful little Dansk Outlet in our little town. We always waited for our scratch off coupon, and then if someone got a 50% off we shared. They didn't mind, and you could use it over and over in a certain time period.
Sadly, Dansk was bought out by Lenox, and then the store closed.
Dansk still exists, but they don't have the same quality or variety the company had before Lenox bought them.
I really miss shopping there, so many lovely things!
And believe me, my friends and I certainly patronized them often. It was a great place to pick up a gift at a fair price and with the coupon, fantastic...
Of course, our husbands said that's why they went out of business, all of us using the 50% off coupon! But I don't think so... :)
The tablecloth is from Villeroy and Boch. We have a store here in town, and I frequent the bargain basement...
The glassware is Dansk, as well as the pitcher, silverware, and the napkins...I told you I shopped there a lot!
And the hurricane in the center is..yep..Dansk!
I have a lot of it...
so I think I will be keeping it for years to come...I don't know why I bought so much...everything they made in the pattern, Fiance Fruits, serving platters and bowls too...
Tonight's dinner, potted rump roast, mashed 'taters, red cabbage and carrots, and biscuits...
Dessert..chocolate pudding..
The little footed dishes are Mikasa, got them when they were closing their outlet store last year...
Thanks for stopping by and.....
Thank you Susan for hosting TT, and please check out the other table scapes listed on her beautiful blog...Between Naps on the Front Porch...

Kathleen, the Dansk dishes are very pretty! Another pretty Tablescape Tuesday! I love the blue dansk glassware! Makes a very pretty table!
ReplyDeleteI used to go to the Dansk store up on Northern Blvd, not too far from the Miracle Mile. I loved their dishes and their enamel on steel pots and pans.
super kathleen, i love the blue and white, so many pretty pieces! LOVE the bowls~
ReplyDeletedinner looks nice and hardy, and there is always room for pudding!
Another Very Pretty Tablesetting.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue, Yellow and White combo is very cheerful..and with this weather, we can use ALL the cheerful we can get!! You've got quite a 'stash' with those dishes..lol
Kathleen, I think with the weather we've been having, we're thinking along the same lines. I made Pot Roast the other nite, w/roasted potatoes and Brownies for dessert. I guess we can use all the 'Comfort Food' we can get too!!
Wonderful and I am so hungry - I need to go pop dinner in the oven! Yours looks alot better than mine - any leftovers! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dishes...yummy food...and I love the blue pitcher!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, Fiance Fruits ... I don't think I've ever "heard" you say the name before.
ReplyDeleteI like seeing the cabinet full ... "everything they made in the pattern", that sounds familiar. I wonder why we did that.
Dinner looks tasty and the tablesetting is lovely. I wouldn't expect anything less from you. :)
Kathleen, love the Blue/White/Yellow (favorites of mine) and just can't tell you how hungry I am after seeing your home cooked meal... my belly is growling. The blue and white checked napkins and the tablecloth you are using just really are such a nice contrast, even though the colors are the same. The print is perfect. Love the fruit on the dishes...something about fruit motifs that I think are so welcoming. Stemware sets it all off! SUPERB! ~CC (Stop by and say hello!)
ReplyDeleteYour everyday dishes are so great...I love your blue pitcher...such a rich shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteThat dessert looks delish!
I didn't know Mikasa closed their outlets too! Boo hoo!!! Love your dishes & the blue pitcher is gorgeous!

Very pretty. I have similar lace plates by Skye McGhee and footed dessert dishes. I love the idea of serving pudding in them (only ice cream so far) and the little cookies are such a nice touch. Thanks for the inspiration.
