Sunday Scenes...

The sun came out after a light snow, and it got to about 30 degrees, tropical compared to what it has been, so I ventured down to the bay to take some pics..

It's frozen as far as you can see....

This is the Peconic Bay, on the east end of Long Island, NY....

Beautiful whatever the season..

Fast forward 5 months, and it will come...and this is what it will look like..

  6. I love the photos with the benches...I can just imagine myself sitting there staring out at the frozen water (with a heated pillow of course).

  7. Great photos! There's something serene with the ice on the bay...just waiting to break up and give way to the water to ripple through. The sound of the ice breaking is something everyone should hear at least once...

Too cold to sit there today though!

  9. Wow, Kathleen, I always love a beach scene, even YOUR winter ones. I love being near water too, but prefer the WARM weather beaches.
