They are looking for Fall Decor.
Don't worry, I know we have a whole month of August, and till Sept. 20th before Summer ends, I am not going to rush it.
An informal Fall dinner was had at this leafy table. A wood lantern, nubby textured cloth, and Fall colored dishes and glasses set the scene.
A more formal dinner was served at this table, Fall wreaths adorn the white porcelain pumpkins.
And something in between..black brown, taupe and gold.
Or this one, all aglow with copper!
The mini peach roses with some Fall foliage adds a warm touch.
We have to have some Fall foods for these autumn tables, and apple pie is one of my favorites!
And some shortbread filled cookies made in a nut mold are a tasty treat ~
Ok, back to summer!
See you Wed at 7 for Let's Dish!

Kathe for Your Gonna Love This
I love looking at your autumn tablescapes. Living in humid, hot, south Louisiana, I ALWAYS wish to skip Aug.(June,July,Sept. and about half of Oct.) I'm also crazy about acorns and noticed the first photo you posted had such a cute acorn fabric tablecloth. Autumn is the favorite season of most of the people I know- we are just sooooo happy to be rid of the oppressive heat of summer.
ReplyDeleteHi gmm! It does look like acorns on the fabric, but it isn't. Don't tell, ok? :)
DeleteThese eyes are over a half century old (is that considered "vintage" ?) and I guess they aren't as reliable as they once were. Really thought they were acorns. Cute nevertheless!!!!
DeleteIt is a bit early, but it does let your mind wander. I don't remember the copper and peach rose one. It's beautiful!!!
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
It may be early, but I am ready for fall! It only takes a week of temps about 105 to convince me that I am ready!
ReplyDelete105, oh my goodness! That is oppressive! Sorry, Kate!
DeleteI am ALWAYS in a mood for fall, my season, I am more alive than at any other time, believe it! But I am NOT skipping August!! My birthday month. As far as talent scouting, with you and Alma in the running, no need for those scouts to look any further. xo
ReplyDeleteI am soooo ready for fall! All pretty, love the second one... never would have guessed I was more of a formal kinda gal:@)
ReplyDeleteNot ready for fall yet. Just think of the cold wet snow months that lie ahead Your table is set for fall and looks great.
ReplyDeleteThat apple pie is off the chain Kathleen. I wish it were fall:}
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to The "Autumn Décor" Talent Scouting Party at WhisperWood Cottage, Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteGlad we're not skipping August! Whew. I still have stuff left to do on the old sand pail list. I probably won't get to it all anyway...
ReplyDeleteLoved your peek into fall tablescaping, though. Fall is my favorite season. I'm just trying not to rush anything this year.
I pinned one of your festive pie crusts. I still haven't done it, but I pinned it.
Did you decided the theme for the challenge and I miss it?
I agree with both of the ones I saw suggested. If we don't do back to school in August, I think we ought to consider it for September. We could expand it to college themed tables, etc.
Hey Kathleen....enjoyed seeing your fall tablescapes..I did not start blogging until Christmas last year...so i missed all the fall decors....they are so beautiful....Good luck on the contest!!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, you are always amazing. I could never choose a favorite. But, those white pumpkins and that apple pie - gorgeous. Oh, and the copper table, too.♥
ReplyDeleteMake summer go away....I can't have hot flashes and over 100 degree temps....I'm dying over here....Your pictures reminded me that fall will be here before you know it.....as soon as September hits we drop about 20 degrees......In any case hope your enjoying summer by the water....Sue
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, but too soon for me!
ReplyDeleteI should bite my tongue, but with the hot summer we've been having I'll actually look forward to crisp, cool temps again. I do love autumn - it's just what comes after that makes me shudder so I'll stick to summer for now after all.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of fall, but not until October :-) August is my favorite month!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, beautiful tablescapes and that pie is unreal. Thanks for joining TTT.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing ANY and ALL of your beautiful tables! I am anxious to partake in the party tonight! That apple pie looks TDF!!!! I would MUCH rather have an apple pie for my birthday than a cake!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to revisit some of your glorious Fall tablescapes, loved them all.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, you are a master at tablescaping. Every one of these photos is just beautiful (of course, the apple pie has my mouth watering - it's a work of art with those pretty crust leaves on top). I love those plaid napkins. I think I remember those wreaths around the individual tureens. I loved them then, and I love them now. And that pretty summer table at the end is perfection too. You rock! laurie
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across here! I love love love fall! Everything is beautiful!!! My senses are delighted.
ReplyDeleteStill 90's during the day here but cool enough to open the windows at night. Your beautiful tables have me itching to get out the bins of fall decor but I'll wait. Not looking forward to the cold and snow we get in the fall here :-) thanks for sharing at the party this week Kathleen! I love seeing what you have to share :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the lavender hue tablescape in your header photo, Kathleen. I've been traveling, but will be home tommorow. Lots to blog about once I get a chance -- family news, etc!
