I bought this wicker top hat , and wanted to use it as a centerpiece..
I had hoped for fresh flowers, but Mr. Cuisine, ( that cracks me up ..he no way wants to be Mr. Cuisine..he has never even looked at this blog!) came back from Sams Club, an hour away with a report that they didn't have what I wanted..:(.
So I had some faux, and took apart an old silver twig and silver berry wreath I was going to ditch anyway!..I replaced his plaid hat band with a silver one. It will have to do..
Placed a dollar store snowflake underneath
Black tablecloth and napkins…napkins are Lenox..tied with a silver snowflake ribbon..
Silver charger, white plate trimmed with silver..Lovelace pattern ( same as the one in the header)
Star mirrors, W.Sonoma.
Silver trimmed stems, wedding crystal.
Candles lit, lights down..romantic, nope..DARK!
Please join Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Thank you Susan,!
Dinner was Chicken cutlet stuffed with spinach and mozzarella…
Pound out your cutlet..
Put a scoop of seasoned spinach mixed with mozzarella in the middle..
Roll it up, dip in egg wash then crumbs…brown in a pan with some oil..
Enjoy!
Remember Laurie’s ♥ Party, and Marty’s cloche party is the 19th!!..
Thanks for visiting!
Hello Kathleen! Love this black and sparkly table. Just gorgeous for a winter evening or for and Academy awards evening. Beautiful....
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteYou are cracking me up right now, with Mr Cuisine.
I love your table. That top hat is darling and I love the silver, white and black with snowflakes. So, so fun...I am so so boring.
That chicken looks yummy too. I shall be trying that (can't wait). Have a great evening

Kathleen, such a beautiful and dramatic table. I love the snowflakes and the white against the dark tablecloth. The centerpiece is creative and very lovely.

Love it!!! I think it's funny that we both used the Dollar Store snowflakes this week. That's a great hat. And I noticed a particular little crystal bowl...

Great Table...Love the 'Dramatic Look', with the B&W and silver...not to mention your
ReplyDeleteclever centerpiece.
I had those Dollar Store snowflakes in my hot little hands,
right after Christmas, and last minute put them back..
now, after seeing yours 'Grrrrr'
Kathleen-Love your table, especially the bows on the napkins and the recipe sounds divine--I'll eat anything with spinach and mozarella! At least "Mr. Cuisine" is looking for flowers for your tablescape. "Mr Rainbow" doesn't even know I have a blog.:)
ReplyDeleteSeeing the top hat, I fully expected to see Fred Astaire sitting at your table! What a fun, yet sophisticated table. I noticed the little crystal condiment dish is being used tonight. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous table! ... It looks perfect for an elegant New Year's Eve party or for that matter any elegant party. ... Where's the champagne? ... No worry, I'd rather have Hershey's kisses than champagne!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and sparkly, love the chargers, they are beautiful...
ReplyDeleteA very elegant table!
ReplyDeleteYour Mr Cuisine would probably have a lot to say to my Mr Griller about all the errands :) Beautiful table, Kathleen!

The table is beautiful and the recipe sounds delish.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, your tablescape is lovely! The top hat centerpiece is terrific - is it Frosty's hat or from a fine gentleman (Mr. Cuisine, no doubt!)out for New Year's Eve? I like the ribbon tied in bows on your napkins. The chicken looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteDD
Oh, how cool Kathleen. Instead of black tie, it's black top hat! hehe. Love your ideas, your always so creative and tell Mr. Cuisine he needs to check out your blog because it's amazing! Cindy
ReplyDeleteStunning table Kathleen. I love the blacks & silvers together. Joe makes stuffed chicken breast, so I'll tell him that spinach is good!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous sparkly table - I love it! Your dinner looks yummy too. How funny, Mr. Cuisine - my guy doesn't look either :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that table - it would make a pretty New Years table too! I am in awe of how you do this day after day - my family would be so impressed! We usually just clear all the school stuff off the table to eat at night, I'm sorry to say. And dinner looks yummy too!

ReplyDeleteHello Mrs. Cuisine! :D ... "Mr. Cuisine" you crack me up!
ReplyDeleteYou are so clever Kathleen, that is a stunning tablescape (and dinner looks delicious, too.) Very, very nicely done! xo
Love the top hat. Where did you find that? It would be perfect with my snowman table. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHow elegant. I love black and silver. What a great idea to use the hat...I wouldn't have thought of it. It is perfect on that snowflake. Very nice.

This is so pretty --- an evening with the stars! Love the top hat centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I really like the hat centerpiece! It works out perfect. I am probably going to have to use fake flowers next week too. I have been noticing it is hard to tell they're not real unless it is really a close-up. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Kathleen! Perfect for a wintery dinner:>)
ReplyDeleteI love the eye-popping black and white combo. Very pretty centerpiece and dishes.
ReplyDeleteI hope I don't post this comment twice. I'm not sure my first one posted. Wanted to make sure you know that I think this tablescape is gorgeous. I love the white and the sparkly on that black tablecloth. So elegant and inviting. I told Marty it didn't matter if our parties were on the same day, but she changed the cloche party to the 19th after she saw that I had previously announced the V'tine party for the 12th. Thanks for promoting the parties! laurie
ReplyDeleteSuch an elegant looking table!
ReplyDeleteLove the top hat as the centerpiece...have never stuffed chicken with spinash, it looks delicious!
Mr Cuisine!!LOL Does Mike know he has a new name...
Beautiful! It feels elegant and special!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table, Kathleen. I love the top hat centerpiece. The chicken looks delicious!
ReplyDeletePuttin on the Ritz is the way to go. Love your top hat center piece. I think Ginger and Fred should be dancing around your table. I see from your other posts you have been shopping again. I find zilch at my local thrift store. I should look at my own storage locker and see what goodies I have hidden in boxes that I can use for Valentines day before I shop in the stores. Off to play with my FLOUR!
ReplyDeleteMagical beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the top hat...it's so cute...You need to make Mr. Cuisine wear it and post HIS picture on the blog....then he'll read it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a must try for me!
ReplyDeleteI love your elegant, sparkly table. The chicken looks wonderful. I'll be giving it a try.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I love all your tablescape designs and this is one of the prettiest!
ReplyDeleteMr. Cuisine must feel like every day is a special occasion....he is a lucky man! Tell him I said so.

What a gorgeous table, Kathleen! Did you hear us toot our horn to you on Friday afternoon? We were on our way to Montauk for the weekend and thought we might drive by M's just to see it again (but we didn't) but we tooted to say hello to you and Mr. Cuisine.
ReplyDeleteHiya Kathleen...
ReplyDeleteYou're Dishnut right? If you are... someone is looking for you on the main page at HTE =)
This is a beautiful elegant table and a delicious dinner. When can I come over?:)
