Tablescape Thursday Triple...♥♥♥
When I realized this is the last TT before ♥day. and I had a few tables in mind, I decided to do 3..
The first is...Johnson Brothers Castles..The castle on the plate is Castle Blarney..appropriate, eh?
The description of the net says pink, but they are red..When I put them next to the pink I used the other day, you can see the difference...Maybe down the road if I need cataract surgery, I'll change my mind, but right now they're red, and I sticking to it....:)
The little silver hearts I have had for years...I have a ton of them...from a little closeout store that is no longer.....I was going to use them as a favor for an engagement party, filled with candy or little cookies, and wrapped..
I got the plates in Home Goods, and the vegetable bowl too.
The napkins from Pottery Barn and the tassels..
Little red buckets with fresh Baby's Breath, Michaels..
Round mats, Kohls..
The centerpiece is a red silk like Chinese take out box that I got in Pier One last week..40 cents...I always look for Cmas things that can be used at other times of the year..
The next I used Haviland China my mom had for years, sitting in a box in her basement, never used...terrible pic of the back, but it says Bavaria, Germany
Lace edged heart plate from Cmas Tree Shops,
I used a pale pink cloth under a cut work white...napkins are pale pink from Gimbels...LOL, I know, they are ancient... My mom had some too, we bought them when we were together, I think we paid .25 cents!!! They have been washed and ironed tons of times, and still work! So they are over 30 yrs old..
The pink glasses are Lenox..
The centerpiece is fresh baby roses and Baby's breath.
The little pots of roses, are very life like..cute!, and from the Cmas Tree Shop.
Pitcher is Waterford..
Dh said it was entirely too girly for him!!!
The final table will make you ...DOTTY!
Really, if you haven't nodded off by now..It's Polka Dots...
Hold on, just a few more of dinner...
Chicken Piccata, Angel Hair and Snow Peas, Heart Shaped Biscuits..
Fresh Blueberry Crisp with light whipped cream for dessert...sorry it bubbled over, so a little messy...but tasty! :)
I don't use a recipe for the Piccata, but you can find an excellent one here....
Ok, you can leave now...thanks for coming...
Please visit Susan at Between Naps on the Front Porch, and you'll find a whole list of sites to visit who took part in TT...
I may have one more ♥ table left, so come back again in a few days if you can...

Ok Kathleen...box up the fist one and send it to me...I don't have a valentine's table!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to see more.... but I must go find something to eat now (thank you very much, LOL)
Susan
Kathleen, you have totally outdone yourself. Usually I can pick a fav but not this time...love them all! From your linens down to the napkin rings. Would love to know how you store everything..you have to have boxes, totes labeled..how can you remember what you have!! lol
ReplyDeleteYour Chicken Picata looks wonderful.. what's in the sauce?
BRAVO !!!!!
I love your tablescapes but I absolutely love the polka dots. Great job! Happy Valentine's day!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a Valentine's day tablescape either and look at you with 3 different ones and more in the wings. I love love love them all but the first is my fav. Polka dots are pretty special too! I love the ornament in the second one! I wish I could steal one of these tables and submit it to our fair this year! lol
ReplyDeleteI think you know I adore polka dots, but I am WOWed by the triple. I love the creativity in all three, and you have certainly outdone yourself (again). Your tablesettings are a bright spot in my week :-)
ReplyDeleteA true triple threat here! All of them are gorgeous. I love the clasic look of the JB setting (and how appropriate the Castle Blarney), the second one brings out the sentimental fool in me. How wonderful with all your sisters that you have your mom's china. I know about that generation "saving" their good stuff brought out once a year for Thanksgiving. This table says soft romance to me. The eye popping polka dots are FUN! You could use a blue cloth for the 4th of July and green for Christmas too! I hate to call favorites but this last one is calling me name the loudest.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have fresh flowers too!
Pretty posts and the pok-a-dots are so cheery and happy. Can't help but smile at that one.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, Candy
Oh my Kathleen! What a visual feast!!! I studied each photo. I love all of your plates! Old Britain castles is one of my favs. Your cutwork tablecloth is just gorgeous! You have so many wonderful things! Love all of the tablescapes...Debbie
ReplyDeleteThree LOVE-ly tablescapes, Kathleen...they are all pretty! MY fav is the first one...the red is so pretty and your tablecloth is perfect!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
;-D
Kathleen, you really outdid yourself this time. The first table is really elegant. I love the nameplaces! romeo... ;-). The second I think very romantic. Pink says romance to me. The third table is just plain FUN! I love it! I'm suddenly starving after seeing your meal... I could easily eat that for breakfast! Nice job, Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteOh me....They all are so pretty.I THINK I like the polka dot the best. And those red square plates. All of it.Whew, you're good...ann
ReplyDeleteI am really, really hungry now! Love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteEllen
nodded off!. are you kidding? lol, your tablescapes are beautiful all three of them, I love all your dishes and the tassle napking rings and all the flowers. then the food, just perfect. Kathy.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen! I really enjoyed this triple delight you posted today. 3 great and very different tables. I would love to sit down at each one. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to get 3 tables. I think I like the 1st table the best. But probably because I love those dishes. But the polk a dot table is sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my favorite but the polka dot runs a close second. Where did you get teh toile tabelcloth? I've had such a hard time matching red toile w/ my Pink Peony dishes (like your's they are just as red as they can be!).
ReplyDeleteDid you sleep last night? It was all I could do to post my little bit of fun. Love your pink castles.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, A TRIPLE ...
ReplyDeleteWOW ... You've been busy .... Each setting has it's own personality. I love the polka dots. It's just plain fun.
I'm always amazed at all the accessories that you have and even more amazing is that you can find them.
I want your dinner ... it looks so appealing. I've had too much sugar today ... decorated Valentine's cookies. I HAD to eat the mistakes.
Wow, you "get it" on how to do a tablescape! Wonderful attention to detail. Pretty, pretty, pretty.
ReplyDeleteCan't choose just one...they are all fun. Great post.
Okay.. first of all I love them all! But being partial to reds I was drawn to the elegance of the first red and white setting and the "whimsey" of the second red and white setting. All were just great! Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteThey're all really pretty K..I love number 1 alos IF I HAVE to pick a fave..and the double bowl..is charimg!
ReplyDeleteRomeo Romeo where art thou?
Monique, if Romeo can't make it, Tom Selleck will do!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments..I do enjoy doing them, makes me think about where all my things are as Cynthia says!
Cami, I have had the cloth a few years, but the dishes are new...I think I got it at the Westpoint/Stevens Outlet...but that is gone now too..used to find great deals there on bedding, curtains, etc...
I was happy to see it "worked" with the dishes..
Marsha, I actually got the polka dots in WmSonoma after Christmas clearance, with Valentine's in mind...although polka dots can be for any time..
I have all those star plates for 4th of July...they do double duty for Cmas too...
Suzy, I would love to be able to do one of those table setting themes some of you have at fairs...We don't have those here...I always love looking at the pics people post of the fairs with all the tables...
I imagine dragging all that stuff and setting it up??
Foley, the sauce is lemon, wine some scallions and a bit of broth, etc. The link to Carol's blog has the recipe..I don't use a recipe, but that one is pretty much how you do it..
Jayne, if you could get Tom here by dinner tomorrow it would be great! :)
Annie, I hope your ♥day dinner goes well, and don't eat the topiary on Sol's cake...save the green teeth for St Patrick's Day...
And thanks to everyone who came directed from BNOTFP to look...
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Your tables are outstanding.. I'm not sure wish one I would say is my favorite..I apologize in being so late in getting around.. too many doctor runs for hubby. Thanks so much for the visit to see the toile tablescape..I'm not real sure of the pattern name.. I'll have to look it up and get back to you.. I'll definetly be back. :-) Happy Valentine's Day! hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteWow! Which one to choose...they are all three awesome, but I thought I would choose #1, then I saw #3--so so cute! You have done an excellent job. I guess #3 would be my favorite...no, #1...my goodness these are good!
ReplyDeleteOh...I just love the polka dots...so cute! I also love the divided dish, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteRomeo is a lucky guy, Kathleen :) Poor Larry, my tablescapes mostly consist of paper plates these days, LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the linking the piccata to me! Yours looks so saucy and so good!
Kathleen, you really do have the best tablescapes, especially the one with the red transferware. I hope M appreciates them as much as the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteOh, I really enjoy seeing your table settings...It's good to see someonelse who has lots of dishes and who enjoys using them as well.
ReplyDeleteYour designs are beautifully all arranged...love the little details which give distinction to each tablescape.
