I am joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday and the Fall Party at Rhoda's Southern Hospitality...Thanks for hosting dear ladies..
I am not fully decorated for Fall...just bringing out things little by little.
I won't put out the Halloween for another week or so...
Here's my front door...
The acorn bells were a gift from a friend from a Holidays forum on GWeb, Kay..:)
This lantern is from WSonoma Outlet...last year..
She will greet you as you come through the foyer..she can hold some treats in her apron...
I will have to catch up with the rest of you who are fully decorated...I am still trying to find all the Fall bins in the basement!!
Tonight's table.."Leaf" me alone... :)
The tablecloth is from Portugal..a gift from my sister about 35 years ago..It came with solid napkins in 3 colors..I have them..one is mangled..someone left it too close to the candle at a dinner party..{you know who you are! :)}
I used brown round mats, burnt orange plate, ($ Tree)
That amber bubble glass pitcher I got in the Pfaltzgraff clearance center 2 yrs ago...it was marked 24.99, but I got it for .96 cents!!
I bought 4 and gave them away...
The leaf plate and butter spreader is from Pfaltzgraff outlet...
The fall colored napkins have leaves on them, and I wired faux squash and leaves to a napkin ring..
The orange leaf is Chantal..clearance at Home Goods..2.00
I filled a hurricane with mini faux pumpkins, orange candle and surrounded it with a leaf garland..added more faux squash and acorns..
The little acorn covered bowls are also from the Pfaltzgraf clearance
The amber wine glasses are from Villeroy and Boch..
I cut the butter with an acorn cookie cutter, and made the biscuits in a pumpkin mold.
Dinner was pork cutlets, pounded dipped in milk, then panko and fried..
Parmesan potatoes and glazed carrots...apples simmered in apricot brandy for the top of the cutlet..
For dessert I made a little pumpkin pie...used Bakerella's recipe...
I painted the acorn cut outs with chocolate..
With the extra pumpkin filling, I had enough for 2 little tarts...
The recipe is very good. If you like a custardy filling though, use a different recipe.
Would I make this again, (that is the test for me..) yes!
I sure could have used Sue at Sullivan and Murphy's acorn salt and peppers for this table. Go see her decos..she has really gone all out..just beautiful!
I am also linking this to Foodie Friday at Designs by Gollum, and Suzy's Flashback Friday as I have made the Parmesan Potatoes and Pork Cutlets with Apple compote before...
Thanks for visiting....I do appreciate it!

Outdoor Wednesday..Still green here
I know so many of you are showing your beautiful fall colors..Well, not here. It is still green..everything..there is a chill in the air in the evening, so I know it is coming soon...
Please join Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for more Outdoor Wednesday posts...
The yard is still green..
The asters are in full bloom...
The hydrangea blooms have turned their pink and green color, so they have been cut to be dried, and sprayed for flower arrangements.. I will show those in another post..
A trip to the North Fork..many farm stands for fruit and vegetables, corn mazes for the kids, and mums..
Grab a wagon and fill it with pretty mums...4 big pots fro 10.99..a bargain in this area..
Some peaches or apples for a pie..or some fresh corn for dinner??
Some peach pie for you??? It's the first time I made peach pie, I have to tweak the recipe..
Thanks for coming, see you for Tablescape Thursday?

Mosaic Monday~Merchandise Monday
Joining Mary for Mosaic Monday..please check out the other mosaics at
Little Red House
..Thanks, Mary..
Fall Shopping..
The pics aren't that clear, but my driver was threatening to leave without me. I had to take them while running after the car....I had just filled up the back of his freshly vacuumed car with many pots of mums :(
The pictures were taken in Jamesport, L.I., NY at Gabrielsens...
And today I launch Merchandise Monday :)...There isn't a meme with that name is there??
I like to do my share in helping the economy, but only if it is a sale...
So..what's in the box???
I haunt the PB/WSonoma OUTLET..Bob, Rose and Susan are my cashiers of choice. They always let me know if I have missed a week..
I try not to...but it does happen...
Back to the box...
Said the sticker...
This was inside..shiny metal...little clips on the back....I imagine they are THING holders...I can think of lot of THINGS for them to hold...above my craft table for all my equip...or...
Could spray them another color, like green, fill with greens, decos, etc and hang on the door...or paint my gkids names on them for a school notice, reminder holders..so many possibilities...oh, a Metamorph Monday post in the making! :)
And the price,.. . .. .25 yes, twenty five CENTS. I had to buy some. They were packed so nicely...
And now these boxes..
The price was right...$3.97 for a service for 4...(who would pay those original prices???...I know you wouldn't!)
And inside....I got blue, yellow and green...the blue I got a few weeks ago for a little more)
The mustard napkin rings in front were .99
And I can't wait to do a little tablescape with these. The Tablescaper, Alma, made me buy them. I had no intentions...all her fault...
So that's my little merchandise Monday..let me know if you want to see it again..
I am happy to do my bargain bonanza show and tells...not much of a RL audience..:)
As always, I appreciate your visit...

An Apple a Day~Tablescape Thursday
It was a busy week..
My sister and her dh from TX came to for a visit ..I hadn't seen her in over a year, so we had lots of talking to do! It was wonderful to see her, and the 3 surviving sisters got to spend some time on Sunday. We hope next June we will all be able to get together for a family reunion. Time flies!
It was also my gson's 4th Birthday, we had the party here so my family could spend some time together...
Since it was the last day of summer, warm and beautiful, I went with an apple theme.
After all, my gkids are the apples of my eye..:)
I served buffet style from the kitchen island for the party..
But I did a tablescape before I put the dishes back till next year..
The centerpiece is a metal wagon filled with faux apples, greens and live mums...
Green stems and waters from Lenox..
Nantucket baskets with a small apple at each place..
The white embossed candlesticks are from Villeroy and Boch, basement clearance..
Dark green candles..ceramic apple salt and peppers...
I used Apple dishes, deep red square mats, dark green napkins...white chargers from Noritake
And since it was a Birthday Party..we needed some candy corn in a Candy Corn bowl. Set of 3 Candy corn bowls from Christmas Tree Shops..I love that store!
A mini wagon full of Mike & Ike's
And a cake....
before the whipped cream piped on...
I made....
Appy's
Cocktail Meatballs..
Grilled Portuguese sausage
Grapes, cheese, crackers
Chips and dip
Chicken Salad and Shrimp Salad on crackers
Shrimp Cocktail
Soups
Butternut Apple
Split Pea with Ham
Chicken and Pasta
Dinner
Salad with Feta red onion and bacon
Stuffed Pork with Apple Chutney
Filet Mignon with mushrooms and onions
Spaghetti Squash casserole
Red potatoes with butter and parsley
Desserts..
Choc /choc cake with whipped cream
Fresh Jersey Peach pie with vanilla ice cream
Banana bread and Blueberry peach muffins...
The dishes I got a few years ago at Christmas Tree Shops..15 dollars for service for 12...I use them once a year...The Nantucket baskets are from there too, there is a glass insert for a candle or for flowers..got them half price for a dollar a few weeks ago..The apple platter and side dishes are by Pfaltzgraff.
I'll show some of that tomorrow for Foodie Friday..
Please join Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for more tablescapes..
And Cindy,at Applestone Cottage this table was for you... :)

Outdoor and Waterside Wednesday....
I am joining Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday and
Barbara Jacksier for Waterside Wednesday, a first for me..
Be sure to check both of these blogs out for a real treat...
This is sunset on the harbor near me ...
Flying Point, Southampton, NY
Mum's the word...
I guess it is time to go to the North Fork to get mums. Seems like I was just there to get summer annuals..
Where did the summer go?
Today summer lingered, a perfect beach day..
Thanks for visiting...I appreciate it!
