Outdoor Wednesday...June is Busting Out All Over
Another Outdoor Wednesday with lovely Susan from A Southern Daydreamer...go look!
Although it is still chilly at night, we do have some blooms...
The Dappled Willow will have to get trimmed way back this year...can you see the pinkish foliage on the ends..
The dark crimson Rhodies are loaded with blooms...except the ones the deer ate..:(
Some pretty pale blue iris....some bloomed some didn't get buds..
And some of the planting waiting for me..2 peonies, a blueberry bush, some veggies and flowers...
I want to get a white fence for the side of the arbor..putting it on the wish list...
If all that outdoorsy stuff made you hungry....
Here's a Banana Chocolate Chip Cupcake with a surprise in the middle..some cream filling...iced with chocolate ..
And Bow tie salad...
Bow tie pasta, tossed with pepper, mayo, powdered mustard, chopped onion and celery, orange juice and a few T's of vinegar...
YOU ARE INVITED! My friend Debbie at Mountain Breaths is hosting a Chill and Grill Party June 13-14th...Please join her with a favorite grill recipe or tip!

Happy Outdoor Wednesday Kathleen! How are you my friend? Your yard is beautiful! I love the rhodies...rich pink! I wish I lived closer to you! I'd be there bugging you on a regular basis! Thanks for sharing your photos.~ Susan
ReplyDeleteOh what a pretty yard and food!! Your yard is so lush and green...
ReplyDeleteI had a lovely dappled willow at my northern home and just loved the pink tips in the spring. Your clematis is thriving beautifully and it just all looks so very nice. You had me drooling again. This time it was the chocolate banana cupcake. Yum.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful yard! And some yummy looking food. Especially that cupcake. Hugs ~cindy s~
ReplyDeleteOh Kathleen, the garden and flowers are so pretty. I love the big expanse of lawn surrounded by such beautiful plants. What a peaceful and beautiful place to sit and enjoy all their beauty. The cupcake and salad made me sooooo hungry. I will have one of each, thank you. Also, thanks for joining the Cloche Party. I think it will be fun and inspiring to see everyone's creations. Some of the ladies also want to include their apothecary jars they decorate, so if you want please include those also. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGorgeous garden, Kathleen, but my oh my, your blog is dangerous. You serve up the most delicious goodies I've ever seen. Wish I could just reach through the screen and snitch a few! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy OW...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Everything looks like summer:)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this time of yr!
I made your Shrimp pasta tonight with the ricotta and lemon:) We ate out yesterday..we rarely do..it used to be one of our favotite restos.. we liked tonight much better.
I am so envious of that pink rhodie - it is just gorgeous and the long shot showing the two of them against the green hedge is breathtaking. All of your gardens are gorgeous and the cupcake looks pretty darn good too ;)
ReplyDeleteKathleen, your property looks gorgeous.... What a beautiful rhododendron. And what a great sounding and good-looking cupcake. AND I love bow-tie pasta ... it's shape and the way it hold sauces. Your salad sounds really tasty.
ReplyDeleteYour rhodie looks beau, even if the deer had a feast on some!
ReplyDeleteYour plantings ready to go into the ground is a familiar site for me also...love your yard - especially the clematis!!!
I would so love to see a rhodie bloom here just once! I've had one for two years and nothing so far.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clematis! It looks so happy there.
You are killing me with that Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin! Oh my, that looks good.
Pretty outdoors, Kathleen! Love the Rhodie! and the cupcake, looks amazing, I'll have mine with a tall, cold glass of milk :)
ReplyDeleteHello Kathleen, I love your outdoor post today. Beautiful flowers and a picket fence is a good wish list. It will look great with your white arbor.
ReplyDeleteYou did make me hungry and we just finished supper. Out here in Yellowstone it is two hours earlier. The thing is... dinner is never finished until I have dessert and I didn't get any. Sigh.
Thanks you for your visit.
Hugs...Jeanne
Your garden is beautiful as are the photographs of it. Thank you for sharing them with us. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteYou do take such wonderful pictures! Cathy
ReplyDeleteHmmm...everything looks yummy--orange juice in the salad? Interesting!
ReplyDeleteI just love your yard, Kathleen. You have a lot of nice things blooming right now! You remind me of myself with the rest waiting to be planted...I can't seem to stop myself when I am at the garden centers!!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever planted blueberries before?? I am thinking of trying blueberries and raspberries for the 1st time this year and could use any advice you have!
Your goodies look delishious!! I will need to work outside a long time to make up for eating great stuff like this!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday (a bit late!) :-)
xoxo
Jane
Your yard is looking gorgeous Kathleen! I need to look that willow up. I've seen a plant like that and wondered what it was. Your cuppy cake is looking might fancy! Did you splurge on wraps or did you make them yourself? I have some scissors that would do that!!!
