mosaic13f9f49b63a8653f9f9eac54a7a80406c58ed1cb

I am joining Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday..Thank you Mary!

There were 4 girls in my family..so I have a little blingy  white Santa to symbolize the 4  of us…

table 1399

table 1400

These 9 little bears represent the children of the 4 sisters.

One has a velvet robe, he represents my nephew who was hit by a car and died …He is always in our hearts.

My gkids love taking them off and putting them back..well they love taking them off..:)  And they are unbreakable.so it can’t hurt!!

The holidays evoke many memories..happy and sad…but bits of our past..

I hope this holiday season brings you many happy memories..and new ones to be created!

Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating!

Have a good week, take time to enjoy!  (she says as she stands knee deep in boxes..:  )table 1402

Blog Labor 547Add fresh cut greens from the yard, pinecones etc.  wire on a French Horn I have had for years, ( I cleaned it with Brasso first)  I made a nice big  bow..and there you go! I will add some more ornies and  fresh baby’s breath next week. Have to get the whole door ready for Karen’s DOOR party on the 15th!

Last week as WSonoma Outlet I got the Acorn pan I have been waiting for since last year….Less than 8.00

Blog Labor 486

It makes little individual cakelets.  I am try to think how I can use this Fall item with Christmas..Maybe brush them with some edible gold??  Any idea to make them Christmasy?  I will have to play with them..maybe make them look like little elf faces??

I also got the Message in a Cookie cutters.  They too were less than 8.00.

I didn’t have much time to play with them, but took Monique’s suggestion to use Ina’s shortbread cookie recipe and press really hard ! I had let Monique know about them as I knew she would like them.  I am sure hers will be gorgeous!Go see her beautiful dove cookies and more!

I left them plain and brought a basket of them to Declan’s 2nd Birthday celebration…

Blog Labor 532

Here they are on the pan…

Blog Labor 531

She does a good job..there were 17 little ones there for the party..

I will have to ask my friend Susan, at Savoring Time in the Kitchen.

She is a photographer, so maybe she can give me a few tips before the next cloche party!

Here’s a little one..

Thanks, Marty for hosting!

Now on to Food…I join Gollum at Designs by Gollum,

Last year a few Darling Bakers made home made marshmallows…I am not a fan of marshmallow, nor am I a candy maker ,but I went along for the ride.

I would never do it again..hear me friends??, LOL, I really didn’t think they were worth the effort..but they all liked them..

I think it was Foley’s idea, so you can find the recipe there.. I am the only one who didn’t like them!

And Gail at Faithfulness Farm has beautiful marshmallow and other candies posted with the recipes..Go take a look..and drool!

table 1356 Here they are in the pan ready to cut..

And a few of the end results..Some I cut with a snowflake cutter and dipped in choc. Some are dusted with cocoa..

Last year after Christmas, I bought some adorable Villeroy and Boch Christmas plates…

Since it is my youngest grandson’s 2nd birthday..a little young at heart table..

Blog Labor 502

I love the scalloped edges and all the colors in the plates..Blog Labor 503

I used a green tablecloth and napkins.

For the centerpiece, I used this Villeroy and Boch stocking.  It opens so you can fill it with cookies, and it matches the china.
