And a few things just hippity hopped into my cart. Who could resist when WS had 75% of all Easter.
I always try to get there a day or so before Easter , everything is marked down, plus the outlet sent out coupons for 20 off one item.
The above salad plates came to 4 for 10.00 with my coupon.
This platter came to 8.
Here it is filled with the egg cupcakes and bunny bites which still have to be decorated tomorrow. The platter will be a hostess gift.
The white PB pitcher will be for my dil. PB only had 50% off their Easter, and they weren’t taking the coupon, strange since you used to be able to walk through from one to the other. Now they blocked it off.
The PB bunny candy dish is for her too. I could see that as a sweet centerpiece, stick some oasis in and fill with flowers.
This sugar and creamer was too sweet to pass up. I don’t know who will get that yet!
They also had the cake plate and covered bunny casserole.
(above pics from Pottery Barn)
I resisted, I had bought enough, but picked them up for someone you know! :)
I only shop the Outlet, and even then only when it is a good sale. This was!
My ultimate bargain had me doing the happy dance. They are listed on the website for $129.00. Can you say almost 90% off?
I’ll show you in my next post.
I have my 120 eggs ready for the gkids egg hunt tomorrow, but still a few hours of cake decorating ahead. I finished the hors d’s and vegetables. There will be 19 adults and 12 kiddies, should be fun!
What ever your plans, I wish you a very blessed Easter!
Good evening, Dishers, and welcome to this week’s meeting.
I hope those who are preparing for Easter have all your chicks in a row, and your eggs colored!
Speaking of chicks, the last time Alma, The Tablescaper, and I were at CTS, she pointed out this very stylin’ Plus Size chick.
She became the centerpiece, nestled in a bed of paper grass, with eggs and chicks and flowers tucked in.
She lights up via a battery pack that fits in her, umm, bottom!
I made the tablecloth from wonderful fabric heavy weight from Duralee. The design has a green and white cord going through .It was a remnant at the Outlet, and at a dollar I hopped to it, quick as a bunny. :)
Salt and pepper bunnies from Christmas Tree Shop.
Purple flatware by Cambridge, a Cmas gift from Alma, green ruffled charger from CTS, orange dinner from $ Tree, Lime polka dot plate trimmed in white, clearance at HG, $1.60.
Orange stripe salad plate by Syracuse china from the .99 store.
Sweet grosgrain ribbon trimmed napkin with embroidered carrots from Pottery Barn. Purple ceramic napkin ring by Villeroy and Boch, with a carrot from CTS .
Pink stem from CTS and tumbler from .99 store. Little pink chick stirrer from my friend, Pam, via a thrift shop.
Egg topiary name holder from CTS, as well as the pink ramekins.
The glass egg holder is from WSonoma Outlet.
Definitely an EGGS plosion of color compared to last week’s table!
Do you have traditional foods you always make for Easter?
We always make Babka , as my dh is of Ukrainian heritage.

The next Tablescape Challenge is April 24th
THEME is……………………………………………
SPRING…BIRDS…BEES…FLOWERS…or TREES
Remember, it doesn’t have to be a full table. You can show us a collection you have, or share a recent tablescape purchase.
It does have to be table related, dishes, glasses, linens, centerpiece…you get the idea.
My inspiration for tonight’s table is this pot of beautiful blue hydrangea I gifted myself for my birthday 2 weeks ago.
It has 8 beautiful blooms on it, and can be planted, if it ever warms up!
I put it in a basket, and added some baby’s breath.
I used a hydrangea tablecloth I have had a long time. The little bird egg salt and pepper sits in a silver tray.
The flatware is by Cambridge and I got it at CTS years ago.
The stemware and blue pitcher is by Dansk.
Little silver baskets hold a votive candle. They are by Silvestri.
The bird nest charger is from PB Outlet, Alma and I scooped them up last year, 2.00
The napkin ring is from World Market.com. We don’t have that store here. Napkins I have had for years.
Silver footed egg cups hold the egg with the guest’s name written on it.
The blue bowls I found in clearance at HG. They were $1.20
The white dinner plate is a swirled pattern and coupe shaped. They almost look like a big odd shaped egg!
They were on sale a few years ago for 1.80. I bought a stack of them, they are great for buffets, and to serve pasta with shrimp etc.
This is my toned down Easter table, next week the pastels will fly!
The recipe for the Beer Irish Stew I showed last week is here.
Ladle the stew into individual ramekins. Make mashed potatoes, add shredded cheddar cheese. Put in a piping bag and pipe on top of the hot stew. Bake in the oven a bit till the taters are golden.
Dig in and enjoy!
